Russia has issued one of its strongest warnings yet on the Ukraine war. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev declared that Russia can preserve itself only by achieving victory in Ukraine, accusing the West of using Kyiv as a tool to destroy the Russian state. Speaking at the “Territory of Meanings” youth forum, Medvedev said Western sanctions and political pressure have failed to break Russia, while claiming NATO expansion and military support for Ukraine are part of a broader campaign against Moscow. His remarks come days after President Vladimir Putin said Russia’s enemies had failed on the battlefield and vowed that the Russian people would never be broken.
