European Nations To Shield American Troops? Iranian Media Says NATO Jets Heading To Jordan

IRGC Strikes Again? Oil Tanker On Fire In Hormuz, 2 Vessels Forced To Retreat, Says Iran

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim two oil tankers attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz with U.S. support were forced to turn back after one vessel caught fire. Tehran says the ships were trying to use a route it considers unsafe and insists the strategic waterway remains under its control. The U.S. military, however, rejects Iran’s claims, maintaining that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway and accusing the IRGC of threatening commercial shipping. With roughly one-fifth of the world’s seaborne oil trade passing through the strait, the latest confrontation raises fresh fears of a wider maritime crisis and disruption to global energy supplies.
